On Monday, April 8, 2024 the City of Sandusky will experience a total solar eclipse. The total eclipse will begin at 3:12 PM and last for 3 minutes and 45 seconds. The last total solar eclipse visible in Ohio was in 1806 and the next one will occur in 2099. Eclipse

In commemoration of this historic event, the Sandusky City Commission issued a proclamation declaring Sandusky to be SUNdusky, USA from April 5-8, 2024 and the city will celebrate with the Total Eclipse of SUNdusky Festival that weekend! We look forward to welcoming people from across the country to America's Best Coastal Small Town for this celestial event.

PierAll events will be free and open to the public. The Cosmic Education event on April 3 will take place at the Cedar Point Sports Center and all other events will be on the Jackson Street Pier in downtown Sandusky.
