The U.S. EPA requires a public notification plan to be adopted for states affected with publicly-owned treatment works for combined sewer overflow (CSO)  discharge events into the Great Lakes.

As an affected city, Sandusky adopted its CSO Notification Plan for these events, and information is posted on this page as they occur so affected parties can take action to prevent serious health effects.
