Yard Waste Drop-off Program

The City of Sandusky offers two free Yard Waste Drop-offs at Barnes Yard Waste Recovery each Spring and Fall season. 

The dates for these collections are announced at least one month prior to the scheduled drop-off dates.

Yard Waste Collection Program

The City of Sandusky offers brush and yard waste collection for its residents at a great bargain price!  For just $8 per month, your yard waste can be collected weekly at the curb in front of your home and the charges can be added directly to your monthly water bill (or annually at $72/yr.).  The contract period is April - December each year.

Leaf Collection

The City of Sandusky provides an annual leaf collection program for all residents and businesses. 

The 2008 Program  begins November 3 and continues through the Christmas holiday.

Christmas Tree Collection

christmasThe City provides an annual curbside Christmas tree collection program.  This collection takes place during the first full week of January each year.  The 2009 collection will be conducted January 5 - 9 according to the city's 5-zone schedule.

Recycling Locations

 

 

The City of Sandusky is pleased to offer a recycling program to its residents. Residents may drop off glass, plastic, aluminum, and paper products. Residents may drop any of these items off 24 hours a day at either of these two City Recycling Centers:

1. Corner of Elm and Monroe Streets (across from Monroe School)

2. 1024 Cement Avenue at the City Service Complex

3. 2227 First Street at Kiwanis Park
