The city provides an annual curbside Christmas tree collection program during the first full week of the new year according to the city's five-zone schedule. Trees can also be dropped at Kiwanis Park, 2227 First Street, or at the city's boat launch facility, 101 Shelby Street. Leaf Collection There are two drop-off recycle locations in Sandusky:
The Erie County Solid Waste District offers several locations for disposal of glass, plastic, aluminum and paper products.
For information, contact the Erie County Solid Waste District at 419.433.7303 x 250. Tire recycling is offered at the Erie County Landfill and tires must be separated from trash. Yard Waste Collection Program The yard waste collection takes place each Friday at the curb in front of your home. The charges can be added directly to your monthly water bill, or through a one-time annual charge of $99.
