Christmas Tree Collection

The City provides an annual curbside Christmas tree collection program during the first full week of the new year according to the city's 5-zone schedule. 

Trees can also be dropped at Kiwanis Park, 2227 First Street or at the city's boat launch facility, 101 Shelby Street.

Computer Recycling

Sandusky Bay Area Goodwill Industries [Disclaimer] now offers recycling for unwanted PC's and PC equipment. 

Proceeds help fund Sandusky Bay Area Goodwill's employment programs for the disabled and disadvantaged.

Leaf Collection

The city's Traffic Services Division picks up leaves during November and December each year.  The zones and zone collection dates are shown on the city's online calendar.

Recycling Locations

There are two drop-off recycle locations in Sandusky:

1) Kiwanis Park, 2227 First Street

2) City Service Center, 1024 Cement Ave. - use Marquette Street entrance

The Erie County Solid Waste District offers several locations for disposal of glass, plastic, aluminum and paper products.

Tire Recycling Program

Tire recycling is offered at the Erie County Landfill and tires must be separated from trash.

There are fees associated with drop-off. Call 419.433.5023 for hours and information.

Yard Waste Collection Program

The City of Sandusky offers brush and yard waste collection for its residents at a great bargain price! 

For only $7 per month, your yard waste will be collected each Friday at the curb in front of your home and the charges can be added directly to your monthly water bill (or annually at $63/yr.). The contract period is April - December each year.

Yard Waste Drop-off Program

The City of Sandusky offers two free Yard Waste Drop-offs at Barnes Yard Waste Recovery [Disclaimer], 1630 Camp Road, Huron, Ohio, each spring and fall season.

This is for city residents only and proof of residency (Driver's License) is required.
